6 Months Old :)

Lauren, here are some shots I took tonight for you. Of course what would bathtime be without a soundtrack. Lately mom has been playing Under the Sea for baby Jackson. He seems to like it, as you can tell. Still no sign of his eyes changing color - staying big and blue for now.

Happy 4th of July!

Well, Jackson had a great first 4th of July. Meredi and her girlfriends from college all met in Savannah followed by Hilton Head for a mini-reunion Thursday night, which gave Dad the chance to spend his first full night alone with the baby. All went well (of course!) and on Saturday the family came to our house for a barbecue. In addition to seeing his first fireworks, he saw his first race on TV and took quite a liking to the sights and sounds of the cars racing by on the TV screen. Altogether a great holiday weekend. We snapped this photo of him in his holiday outfit and had to share.

Baptism

Jackson was baptized on June 20th at the Basilica of St. Paul by Fr. Tim Daly. It was great to see family and we were thrilled that Jackson got to meet Great Grandpa Dave, Great Aunt Betsy and Great Uncle Tracy and cousin Lisa! Aunt Lauren and Uncle Jordan are his Godparents.

He's baaaack!

Okay - far too much time has passed since last posting.  I did manage to update the scrolling photos.  Mommy Meredi took these photos showing Jackson in Dad's hat, in his Bumbo chair, and taking a snooze.  Enjoy.

  

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter this year. Mom bought Baby Jackson this Classic Pooh outfit. With his collection of shoes, she managed to find a perfect match, too. Aunt Lauren stayed with us for the long weekend and spoiled him rotten, day and night. Nana and Poppa gave him his first Easter basket - a turtle of course. And Grandma Kathy just arrived home for Sisters' Weekend with Great Aunts Beth, Kelly and Ellen.

Now we are looking forward to Jackson celebrating.... Cinco de Mayo!

Hey Family and Friends! Here is just a short taste of baby Jackson, courtesy of iFlip video footage from my dad, Mike. Baby Jackson loves his pacifier, and gives us a pretty good impersonation of Maggie Simpson in this shot. He is wrapped in his Drip-Pea towel from Great Aunt Betsy and Uncle Tracey. I'll put some more videos on the blog now that I have figure it out.

Careful what you ladies wish for! Ask for more photos of Jackson and the guy goes and strikes a pose that will tug at your heart strings. This was taken at Grandma MK's house where he enjoyed a playtime workout followed by a manicure and a nap. He was actually sleeping like this. I'm afraid to clip his nails, so I leave that to Grandma for now. I put some more photos in the slideshow.

We can't wait for you to meet him in person!

Bath Time

The day Jackson was born, he did his share of crying. He has his mother's lungs, apparently. In the nursery, the RN warned me that newborns hate the bath, especially the part when they shampoo him and run a comb through his hair. Well, Jackson loved it. I think he was purring. Here we are again at home, giving him the treatment with his first hairbrush.

Here is little Jackson mid slumber, with a slight smile on his face. This always cracks us up. We know he isn't actually smiling, yet, but he certainly seems happy. Maybe it is because his grandparents have been spoiling him rotten. Actually, they have been spoiling all 3 of us rotten. We are so thankful!
